CONCRE-SET – Concrete Set Accelerator is a chloride-free liquid admixture concentrate formulated to accelerate concrete setting and improve early trowelling and early-strength development, particularly in cold weather. Recommended for professional use only. Suitable for general concrete, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, concrete repairs and cold-weather applications where faster setting is required.

Directions for Use

Recommended Dosage

Typical dosage is 2–5 litres per cubic metre of concrete. For faster setting, cold weather or rapid-turnaround applications, dosage may be increased up to 10 litres per cubic metre of concrete. For applications previously using standard calcium nitrate 50% solution, commence trials at approximately half the previous dosage. Example: Where 20 litres of calcium nitrate 50% solution was previously used, commence trials with 10 litres of CONCRE-SET. The optimum dosage will vary depending on concrete temperature, cement type, concrete mix design, batch size and the required setting time. A trial batch using the actual concrete mix is recommended before full-scale use.

Method of Addition

Add directly into the concrete mixer or agitator after the batch water has been introduced.
Do not add directly onto dry cement.
Mix thoroughly for at least 2 minutes after addition to ensure uniform distribution throughout the concrete.
Where other admixtures are used, add each product separately unless compatibility has been confirmed.

Excessive dosage may result in:

Rapid slump loss
Reduced placing and finishing time
Excessively rapid setting
Variable concrete performance

Do not exceed the recommended dosage without prior testing. Concrete performance may vary with temperature, cement source, aggregate, water content and other admixtures.

Storage

Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Protect from contamination, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Recommended storage temperature: 5°C to 45°C If crystallisation occurs during cold storage, warm the product gently and mix thoroughly before use.

Shelf Life

12 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly in the original sealed container.

DIPENTINE is made from pine oil and used as a cheaper alternative to d-limonene / orange turpene. It is a fast drying, non-residual solvent cleaner for graffiti removal, floor cleaning, carpet stain removal, chewing gum softener and degreasing of electrical equipment, metal parts, electrical components and circuit boards. Able Inox Gel – Pickling Gel

ABLE INOX GEL is fast acting, maximum strength stainless steel pickling gel suitable for passivating and weld cleaning on most grades of Stainless Steel (SS316, SS304 etc.) without the need for a Poisons License. Contains an anti-gassing agent for your added safety. NO LICENCE REQUIRED
Use Recommendations
Use as received and do not dilute or mix with other chemicals. The pickling process should take between 30 to 90 minutes depending on temperature & surface to be treated. Application should ideally be performed indoors in well ventilated area at room temperature. For outdoor work, the stainless steel to be pickled must be shielded from direct sunlight and rain. To use simply apply a thin to medium film with an acid resistant brush (ideally) or with a roller with splash guard (not as safe as brush method because of splatter). Coverage is approximately 120 meters of weld length per 1L or 6m2per litre of gel. Once applied the pickling gel will usually work within 60 – 240 minutes. The pickling time varies according to the prevailing temperature, type of steel and weld. Many boilermakers apply and leave over night to work. Only apply the pickling gel to surfaces that are free of oil or other contamination and if working temperature is between +3 to +40ºC (product can “gas off” in high temperatures, conversely in low temperature the chemical reaction can be slowed or stopped). Once the product has worked the surface should be triple rinsed using copious amounts of high pressure water.
