Alkaline Cleaning Powder

ALKALINE CLEANING POWDER is an off-white powder with a pine odour and is formulated to remove paint, carbon, oils, grease and other obstinate soils from copper and ferrous metal. Use via soak tank method.

Use Recommendations

ALKALINE CLEANING POWDER should be mixed slowly into cold water. Agitate to make sure all product is thoroughly dissolved. The bath should be constructed of mild steel and have a drain at the bottom of the tank to make dislodging and draining easier. Alloys and amphoteric metals cannot be used in this bath as they will react and seriously impair the solution performance. ALKALINE CLEANING POWDER should be used at 100gms per litre of water at 80°C if possible. Parts should be immersed the solution and agitated if an agitator is fitted to the bath. Parts should be rinsed with water to flush away residual product after removing from the bath. Use 100 to 200gms of the product to a litre of water if a cold and still bath is necessary. NOTE: Plan the bath to completely immerse the parts that need cleaning. The bath can be used repeatedly until it is completely attenuated.

Caustic Soda Prill – Sodium Hydroxide 99%

CAUSTIC SODA is white hygroscopic crystalline powder and readily absorbs water from the air, so it should be stored in an airtight container. It is very soluble in water with liberation of heat.

Use Recommendations

Sodium hydroxide is frequently used as a cleaning agent where it is often called “caustic”. It is added to water, heated, and then used to clean the process equipment, tanks, drains, etc. It can dissolve grease, oils, fats and protein based deposits. A sodium hydroxide solution will leave a yellow stain on fabric and paper. Concentration is varied according to water conditions, temperature and type of cleaning requirement with higher concentration used for better performance and hard stains. Caustic Soda available in bulk 5kg, 20kg and 25kg sizes.

EPOXY & TWO PACK STRIPPER – AC805 is a viscous mobile solvent gel formulated to remove carbon, rubber, resin, paint and varnish from bricks, stone and metal surfaces, including ferrous metals and alloys. This product has a limited shelf life on the gelling component and typically made to order for maximum effectiveness.

Use Recommendations

Apply a liberal amount of AC805 directly onto the surface with a paint brush. Allow 10-15 minutes contact time for the product to penetrate and soften the coating. Finally, clean the surface by scraping or hosing off with water. Dry the surface and apply as before.

Use Recommendations

Apply a liberal amount of AC800 directly onto the surface with a paint brush. Allow 10-15 minutes contact time for the product to penetrate and soften the coating. Finally, clean the surface by scraping or hosing off with water. Some stubborn coatings and residue films may require a second application of AC800. Dry the surface and apply as before.
