Use Recommendations

Use as received and do not dilute or mix with other chemicals. The pickling process should take between 30 to 90 minutes depending on temperature & surface to be treated. Application should ideally be performed indoors in well ventilated area at room temperature. For outdoor work, the stainless steel to be pickled must be shielded from direct sunlight and rain. To use simply apply a thin to medium film with an acid resistant brush (ideally) or with a roller with splash guard (not as safe as brush method because of splatter). Coverage is approximately 120 meters of weld length per 1L or 6m2per litre of gel. Once applied the pickling gel will usually work within 60 – 240 minutes. The pickling time varies according to the prevailing temperature, type of steel and weld. Many boilermakers apply and leave over night to work. Only apply the pickling gel to surfaces that are free of oil or other contamination and if working temperature is between +3 to +40ºC (product can “gas off” in high temperatures, conversely in low temperature the chemical reaction can be slowed or stopped). Once the product has worked the surface should be triple rinsed using copious amounts of high pressure water.

Acid Detergent – AC580

ACID DETERGENT AC580 is a detergent blend of acids formulated for cleaning and brightening of aluminum and stainless steel. ACID DETERGENT AC580 also effectively removes rail and iron ore dust from vessels, marine equipment, structures, vehicles and machinery, and is an excellent cleaner of bore water stains.

Use Recommendations

ACID DETERGENT AC580 may be used neat, or diluted with up to 10 parts of water. We recommend a dilution rate of 1 part of ACID DETERGENT AC580 to 5 parts of water initially; this solution can be diluted further or strengthened according to the extent of the contamination. Swab surface, working from the bottom upwards and keep wet evenly until clean. Flush with fresh water. Ensure that the surface is uniformly covered as uneven application may produce streaking.

Can this product remove red dust stains from paintwork on my vehicle?

Yes, AC580 can remove red dust stains safely from vehicle paintwork.

Red dust has stained the inside of my vehicles; can you use the acid detergent on carpets and plastic in the interior?

Yes, AC580 can be used on the inside of cars to remove red dust stains (we suggest starting with a very weak concentration and doing a test patch). Consult your reseller for more details.

What sort of damage can the Hydrofluoric Acid do to me at the concentration?

This product should be handled with care, especially when decanting. It contains less than 1% of HF which is only at an irritant level, however there are other acids in the product too that can cause burns if handled incorrectly.

Clearview – Glass Cleaner Concentrate

CLEARVIEW is formulated to be a very economical cleaner for glass and chrome surfaces when used as directed. CLEARVIEW will lift off dirt and grime quickly, leaving a sparkling, film-free surface.

Use Recommendations

Dilute 1 part CLEARVIEW with 8 parts distilled water. Simply spray onto the surface to be cleaned and wipe off with a dry lint free cloth or paper. Best results are obtained by using distilled water with product.

Use Recommendations

Hijax – Detergent Bleach Powder

HIJAX is a free flowing, non-caking powder with combined powers of detergency scouring, bleaching, brightening and bactericidal properties. Safe for hand cleaning and is a similar product to Ajax Cleaner.

Use Recommendations

In all household, commercial and institutional areas for stain, grease and dirt removal including bathrooms, toilets, ablution blocks, showers, sinks and food preparation area. Hijax will effectively remove stains and discolourations from porcelain, stainless steel, cutting boards, copper, brass, aluminium, tiles and concrete floors. Ideal for cleaning of grills and ovens (including combi ovens).

HIJAX should be sprinkled via a shaker bottle provided over a wetted surface, and scoured with a cloth, sponge or brush until the surface is clean. Rinse thoroughly afterwards with clean water.
