Use neat, or diluted with up to 10 parts of potable water.

Typical dilution rate is 1 part of ACID CLEAN to 5 parts of water; this solution can be diluted further or strengthened according to the extent of the contamination.

For best results wash the surface to be cleaned with appropriate cleaner (i.e. truck wash or water based degreaser) to remove any dirt, debris, oil or road film. Once the surface is clean of dirt and damp, simply swab surface, working from the bottom upwards with the solution of ACID CLEAN. Allow the solution time to dwell & work.

This product works via chemical reaction which takes time; allow at least 10 to 20 minutes. Do not all the surface to dry out, keep it wet evenly with the product until clean.

Once clean flush with copious amounts of fresh water. Some stubborn build-ups may require repeat applications; simply follow the steps above again.

If you are using this product to remove bore stains on brickwork or masonry ensure that the brickwork is saturated with water prior to use so the brickwork can “drink” as much water as it can because when it comes time to apply the ACID CLEAN we do not want it being sucked into the brickwork to be wasted and cause complications such as leaching or staining.

Does this product contain hydrofluoric acid?

No, this product was designed to remove red dust without HF or HCL which are being banned on many worksites.

Is there a stronger product available?

Yes, try AC580 as this is AC506 with the addition of just under 1% HF which is the maximum amount of HF allowable without a Poisons License. If you have a poisons license you can try AC518X which contains just under 10% hydrofluoric acid.

Can this product remove red dust stains from paintwork on my vehicle?

Yes, AC580 can remove red dust stains safely from vehicle paintwork.

Red dust has stained the inside of my vehicles; can you use the acid detergent on carpets and plastic in the interior?

Yes, AC580 can be used on the inside of cars to remove red dust stains (we suggest starting with a very weak concentration and doing a test patch). Consult your reseller for more details.

What sort of damage can the Hydrofluoric Acid do to me at the concentration?

This product should be handled with care, especially when decanting. It contains less than 1% of HF which is only at an irritant level, however there are other acids in the product too that can cause burns if handled incorrectly.

2. Foam Cleaning: 1 part to 10 parts water
3. Medium Duty Cleaning: 1 part to 10 parts water
4. Heavy Duty Cleaning: Neat
5. Rust Removal in Soak Bath: 1-3 parts to 50 parts water (keep wet with product)

• Prepare a diluted solution according to the extent of the contamination.
• Where possible use warm water as this works best.
• Swab or foam the solution onto the surface working from the bottom upwards.
• Ensure the surface is uniformly covered as uneven application may produce streaks.
• Keep the surface wet with the product & allow at least 30 minutes WET dwell time to work.
• If surface becomes dry apply another coat.

RED DEVIL may be used neat, or diluted with up to 10 parts of water for removing red dust from vehicle paint work, synthetic floor mats and most hard surfaces.

We recommend a dilution rate of 1 part of Red Devil to 5 parts of water be trialed in an inconspicuous spot; the solution can be diluted further or strengthened according to the extent of the contamination.

• Swab surface, working from the bottom upwards and keep wet evenly until clean.
• Flush with fresh water. Ensure that the surface is uniformly covered as uneven application may produce streaking.
• This product will not normally harm seals or nylon or synthetic carpets but always do a trial or test area in an inconspicuous area first.

Note: Red Devil is the most powerful formula without a license. It is not recommended for use on galvanised, glass or other materials containing silica. Always do a test patch first.
