ACID DETERGENT AC580 may be used neat, or diluted with up to 10 parts of water. We recommend a dilution rate of 1 part of ACID DETERGENT AC580 to 5 parts of water initially; this solution can be diluted further or strengthened according to the extent of the contamination. Swab surface, working from the bottom upwards and keep wet evenly until clean. Flush with fresh water. Ensure that the surface is uniformly covered as uneven application may produce streaking.

Can this product remove red dust stains from paintwork on my vehicle?

Yes, AC580 can remove red dust stains safely from vehicle paintwork.

Red dust has stained the inside of my vehicles; can you use the acid detergent on carpets and plastic in the interior?

Yes, AC580 can be used on the inside of cars to remove red dust stains (we suggest starting with a very weak concentration and doing a test patch). Consult your reseller for more details.

What sort of damage can the Hydrofluoric Acid do to me at the concentration?

This product should be handled with care, especially when decanting. It contains less than 1% of HF which is only at an irritant level, however there are other acids in the product too that can cause burns if handled incorrectly.

Due to its high level of concentrated acids BORE STAIN BEGONE is rated as a Dangerous Good, and should be used with caution, but also confidence that it will remove even the most stubborn bore and rust stains.

Removing Bore Stains from Bricks, Concrete or Masonry:

1. Thoroughly wet the surface to be cleaned with copious amounts of water.
2. This is important so the product is not sucked into the bricks or masonry which not only wastes product but may emerge later and stain the wall with white acid burn.
3. Once the surface is soaked and does not absorb any more water, dilute 1 part product with 5 parts of water to prepare a diluted solution.
4. Swab or spray the diluted solution onto the surface working from the bottom upwards.
5. Ensure the surface is uniformly covered as uneven application may produce streaks.
6. Keep the surface wet with the product & allow at least 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the level of contamination to work.
7. If surface starts to become dry apply another coat.
8. The product works via a chemical reaction and the surface to be kept wet with product.
9. Once the bore stain has disappeared flush surface with copious amounts fresh water.
10. For peace of mind and to avoid possible acid burn consider applying 10% Sodium Bicarbonate solution or NEUTRA BRICK afterwards to neutralize the product.

Vanadium stains on brickwork:

1. Green to greenie – yellow Vanadium staining mainly occurs due as natural phenomenon of the raw materials in the bricks and is exacerbated by lower kiln temperatures. Sometime Vanadium stains occur due to incorrect brick cleaning with incorrect or inappropriate brick cleaning acids and neutralizer.
2. Wet brick thoroughly with garden hose.
3. Dilute Bores Stain begone from neat to 1:5 depending on severity. Apply a liberal and even coating and allow 5-10 minutes to work.
4. Agitate with a stiff broom if the Vanadium deposits are thick, and reapply chemical as necessary to keep the stain wet.
5. Rinse off well, then rinse again. Finally apply Neutra Brick to help prevent acid burning.

Rusted Items:

1. Dilute 1 part product with up to 5 parts water.
2. Apply with sprayer or submerge parts into the solution.
3. Allow 30 minutes to 8 hours to work.
4. Check item/s periodical and once rust has been dissolved thoroughly wash the product from the cleaned item.

Items to Avoid:

1. 1. Not typically recommended on Glass, as the strong acids may etch.
   2. Avoid using on galvanized steel.
   3. Avoid using on colorbond window frames, fences etc. A short amount of contact is normally fine (unless in poor condition) but always rinse thoroughly with water.

NOTE: This product is highly flammable and should be used & stored away from ALL sources of flame or ignition.

Typical coverage is between 12 to 20 m2 per litre. Prior to application of EASY COAT SEALER it is vital to thoroughly clean the surface using an approved Able Westchem detergent and allow overnight to dry. Also if previous coatings have been applied these must be removed using the appropriate Able Westchem stripper (AC800).

EASY COAT SEALER should only be applied to clean dry surface. For most applications two coats is normally sufficient leaving at least an hour between coats, however, some surfaces may require further coats to provide an impervious coating.

EASY COAT SEALER should normally be applied using a lambs wool applicator or roller, or good quality paintbrush. Spray applications are not recommended because of fire risk however this product is compatible with this method of application otherwise. EASY COAT SEALER is NOT suitable for use on vinyl, cork, linoleum or timber surfaces. EASY COAT SEALER should only be applied to surfaces with temperatures between 10-30 degrees Celsius with moisture content between 5 -15%. A moisture meter is recommended to indicate curing conditions. Airflow is required to aid the drying process however too much air flow can cause the coating to dry too quickly.
