CONCRE-SET – Concrete Set Accelerator is a chloride-free liquid admixture concentrate
formulated to accelerate concrete setting and improve early trowelling
and early-strength development, particularly in cold weather. Recommended for professional use only.

Suitable for general concrete, reinforced concrete, precast concrete,
concrete repairs and cold-weather applications where faster setting is
required.

Benefits

Accelerates initial and final set

Improves early-strength development

Reduces waiting time before finishing

Assists earlier formwork removal

Suitable for cold-weather concreting

Chloride-free formulation, reducing risk of rusting / corrosion to reo bars and concrete cancer

Ready-to-use liquid

Directions for Use

Recommended Dosage

Typical dosage is 2–5 litres per cubic metre of
concrete.

For faster setting, cold weather or rapid-turnaround applications,
dosage may be increased up to
10 litres per cubic metre of concrete.

For applications previously using standard calcium nitrate 50%
solution, commence trials at approximately half the previous dosage.

Example: Where 20 litres of calcium nitrate 50%
solution was previously used, commence trials with 10 litres of
CONCRE-SET.

The optimum dosage will vary depending on concrete temperature, cement
type, concrete mix design, batch size and the required setting time.
A trial batch using the actual concrete mix is recommended before
full-scale use.

Method of Addition

Add directly into the concrete mixer or agitator after the batch
water has been introduced.

Do not add directly onto dry cement.

Mix thoroughly for at least 2 minutes after addition to ensure
uniform distribution throughout the concrete.

Where other admixtures are used, add each product separately unless
compatibility has been confirmed.

Important

Excessive dosage may result in:

Rapid slump loss

Reduced placing and finishing time

Excessively rapid setting

Variable concrete performance

Do not exceed the recommended dosage without prior testing. Concrete
performance may vary with temperature, cement source, aggregate, water
content and other admixtures.

Storage

Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry and
well-ventilated area. Protect from contamination, direct sunlight and
extreme temperatures.

Recommended storage temperature: 5°C to 45°C

If crystallisation occurs during cold storage, warm the product gently
and mix thoroughly before use.

Shelf Life

12 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly in the
original sealed container.

Safety

Refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use. Wear appropriate personal
protective equipment, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep out of
reach of children.

Use Recommendations

AGRISPOSE is a non hazardous concrete retarding concentrate used to produce exposed aggregate finish on freshly poured concrete.

Use Recommendations

SPRAYING ON: Use a garden sprayer to evenly apply the product onto freshly laid concrete. Apply Agrispose as soon the Bleeding has finished but before the concrete has set. Please note that the “bleed water” should be removed prior to applying Agrispose to prevent dilution of the product. Care must also be taken to protect the freshly treated surface from direct sunlight, warm winds or conditions that can cause the product to dry out.

REMOVING: Once the product has been applied, allow the concrete slab to partially cure for 2 to 12 hours (curing times vary greatly) and then broom and wash off top layer of concrete paste and Agrispose to expose the underlying aggregate. Care must be taken to ensure that Agrispose paste is removed within 2 -12 hours as the Agrispose will only retard the setting of the concrete for up to 24 hours and the concrete will set as normal to full strength otherwise.

NOTE: this is a higher grade hydrochloric acid than the “spent / recovered” type normally found at your local pool shop or hardware store.

Use Recommendations

This product is generally used at concentration from 1:5 to 1:10 parts water depending on application. The product can be used via immersion, swab or recirculation techniques. The time taken to descale most items is approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Such a wide time span is given because results vary depending primarily on scale type and build up, dilution ratio and temperature. Once a surface has been cleaned always flush with copious amounts of water to removal all acid residues.

TIPS:

Before using the product ensure the surface has been pre-cleaned with appropriate cleaner to remove unwanted oil, grease and film.

If the surface is porous (ie bore stain on brick wall) then the surface should be well wetted to avoid acid being wicked into the surface and creating a white haze in the days following, as minerals are leached to the surface.

Once a surface has been cleaned the acid should be washed off as soon as possible with copious amounts of water.

Repeated acid washing may damage some surfaces.

This product may etch, lighten or alter the color of tile, grout, stone and metal surfaces.

NEUTRA BRICK – ACID NEUTRALISER is a concentrated and economical solution that is used to neutralize mineral or organic acid residues after acid washing bricks, mortar, paving or stone to help prevent the common problem of white acid staining leaching to surface of brickwork and the like. This product also helps to prevent effervescence, internal rebar rusting and various other powdery layer crystal growth on brickwork.

Use Recommendations

NEUTRA BRICK is a concentrate. Use 1 Litre of NEUTRA BRICK to 9 Liters of water to make Ready-to-Use Solution. Once diluted use a garden sprayer or broom to evenly and generously apply solution over the brick wall so it is well wetted and soaks into wall but running down the wall.

Coverage rate is approximately 1L per m2 per coat. This coverage depends on the porosity of the bricks and mortar in the wall.

With the coats of applied NEUTRA BRICK solution allow these to work for 5 minutes each before finally washing down with low pressure water. The treated wall, when dry should then be tested with litmus paper to determine its finally pH which should be in the region of 7.0 -9.5.
