ACID CLEAN AC506 is a detergent blend of acids formulated for cleaning and brightening of aluminium and stainless steel. This product is the HF free version of our Acid Detergent AC580.

Use Recommendations

Use neat, or diluted with up to 10 parts of potable water.

Typical dilution rate is 1 part of ACID CLEAN to 5 parts of water; this solution can be diluted further or strengthened according to the extent of the contamination.

For best results wash the surface to be cleaned with appropriate cleaner (i.e. truck wash or water based degreaser) to remove any dirt, debris, oil or road film. Once the surface is clean of dirt and damp, simply swab surface, working from the bottom upwards with the solution of ACID CLEAN. Allow the solution time to dwell & work.

This product works via chemical reaction which takes time; allow at least 10 to 20 minutes. Do not all the surface to dry out, keep it wet evenly with the product until clean.

Once clean flush with copious amounts of fresh water. Some stubborn build-ups may require repeat applications; simply follow the steps above again.

If you are using this product to remove bore stains on brickwork or masonry ensure that the brickwork is saturated with water prior to use so the brickwork can “drink” as much water as it can because when it comes time to apply the ACID CLEAN we do not want it being sucked into the brickwork to be wasted and cause complications such as leaching or staining.

Does this product contain hydrofluoric acid?

No, this product was designed to remove red dust without HF or HCL which are being banned on many worksites.

Is there a stronger product available?

Yes, try AC580 as this is AC506 with the addition of just under 1% HF which is the maximum amount of HF allowable without a Poisons License. If you have a poisons license you can try AC518X which contains just under 10% hydrofluoric acid.

ACID DETERGENT AC580 is a detergent blend of acids formulated for cleaning and brightening of aluminum and stainless steel. ACID DETERGENT AC580 also effectively removes rail and iron ore dust from vessels, marine equipment, structures, vehicles and machinery, and is an excellent cleaner of bore water stains.

Use Recommendations

ACID DETERGENT AC580 may be used neat, or diluted with up to 10 parts of water. We recommend a dilution rate of 1 part of ACID DETERGENT AC580 to 5 parts of water initially; this solution can be diluted further or strengthened according to the extent of the contamination. Swab surface, working from the bottom upwards and keep wet evenly until clean. Flush with fresh water. Ensure that the surface is uniformly covered as uneven application may produce streaking.

Can this product remove red dust stains from paintwork on my vehicle?

Yes, AC580 can remove red dust stains safely from vehicle paintwork.

Red dust has stained the inside of my vehicles; can you use the acid detergent on carpets and plastic in the interior?

Yes, AC580 can be used on the inside of cars to remove red dust stains (we suggest starting with a very weak concentration and doing a test patch). Consult your reseller for more details.

What sort of damage can the Hydrofluoric Acid do to me at the concentration?

This product should be handled with care, especially when decanting. It contains less than 1% of HF which is only at an irritant level, however there are other acids in the product too that can cause burns if handled incorrectly.

Use Recommendations

DEGREASING:

ENERAL HARD SURFACE CLEANING:

ECOSAN is versatile and may be used at dilutions ranging from 1:10 for extra heavy deposits and spot cleaning, to 1:100 for light duty cleaning applications. Use on cars, rigs, floor, benches etc

DISINFECTING & ODOUR:

Use ECOSAN at a solution no weaker than 1:100 which is suitable for light duty disinfecting & cleaning of floors, wall, tiles etc. For extra heavy deposits and spot disinfecting use 1:10 with water.

SOAK CLEANING:

Use at rate of 1:20 with water.
Immerse equipment in the solution, scrub with brush and rinse.
Use a spray gun for spot cleaning or machine and or mop and bucket for floor cleaning.

GLISTEN is a multi-purpose neutral based detergent suitable for the combined cleaning & shining of vehicles, floors, benches and many other hard surfaces. Commonly used in car wash applications as the main foaming brush cleaner as it provides a mild clean, high sudsing and leaves a good shine behind.

Use Recommendations

Dilute GLISTEN at 10 – 20 mls per litre (1 -2 %) of hot or cold water depending on the degree of contamination. Apply with a soft sponge, mop or broom, agitate then hose off with clean water.

This product when used with 40mls of ANTIFOAM per each 200ltrs of machine tank solution is suitable for use in floor scrubbing machines.

INHIBITED DESCALER – LIME & CONCRETE WASH is a highly concentrated “Industrial Acid Wash” for removal of sediments with the added protection of corrosion inhibitors and descaling accelerators. Highly effective for removal of lime, gypsum, concrete and stone dust, calcium, clinkers, cement, concrete dust, hard water deposits, lime, oxides, base rust, scale from most metal surfaces.

Use Recommendations

This product is generally used at concentration from 1:5 to 1:15 parts water depending on application and it is highly recommended that the user application trial/s in an inconspicuous area prior to tacking the larger job at hand. The product can be used via immersion, swab or re circulation techniques. The time taken to descale most items is approximately 10-60 minutes. Such a wide time span is given because results vary depending primarily on scale type and build up, dilution ratio and temperature. Once a surface has been cleaned always flush with copious amounts of water to removal all acid residues.

Use Recommendations
