Acri-Seal Water Based Acrylic Sealer

ACRI-SEAL is a non-toxic; water based acrylic sealer that is ideal for use as a concrete sealer, terrazzo sealer, clay brick sealer, reconstituted limestone sealer, natural limestone sealer, walkway sealer or general purpose topcoat (excluding marine)

Use Recommendations

This sealer is non-hazardous, low odour and delivers excellent adhesion and high durability that keeps concrete and masonry better for longer. This product can deliver excellent levels of gloss which can be varied by the number of coats or dilution with water.

BEFORE STARTING

For new concrete, ensure the concrete has cured for at least 21 days for best results. Ensure that all traces of oil, dust or other contaminants have been removed, as this may affect adhesion.
On old concrete, remove all contaminants by using chemicals in combination with high pressure washing. Once surface is clean allow the surface to ivey before applying

The level of cleaning will determine the final appearance that will be achieved.

APPLICATION METHOD AND EQUIPMENT

Apply via spray pack (weed spray type), trigger spray, brush or roller at the typical coverage rate (see technical information).
For new or dense concrete it may be necessary to dilute the ACRI-SEAL at a ratio of 1:1 with water and apply this diluted mixture.
If the first coat leaves a well sealed surface; and to prevent a high gloss finish (if you do not want a high gloss) then dilute the second coat 1:1 with water as well, and apply at the typical coverage rate.
If you require a high gloss finish then apply the second coat without any dilution.
For aged, worn or crumbling concrete use this product as received without diluting.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not apply to wet concrete or surfaces that have a moisture content of more than 15%.

Refrain from applying if it is going to rain on the surface within 48 hours or if surface temperature is below 9 C or the air humidity is above 80%. Use only water to thin or dilute. Store product container in a cool area out of direct sunlight with lid firmly affixed.

Can this product be used as a same day sealer for driveways and concrete?

No, we do not recommend this as a same day sealer however some of our customers do use this as a same day sealer. We recommend using a solvant based product such as Gloss Seal Easy Coat as a same day sealer as solvants dry faster.

If things go wrong is there a sealer stripper we can use?

Yes, use AC800 which is “Universal Paint Stripper & Graffiti Remover” to efficiently strip water based acrylics such as Acri-seal from most surfaces.

Will the product change the colour of my liquid limestone

Yes, however not as much as a solvent acrylic.

Agrispose – Concrete Exposed

AGRISPOSE is a non hazardous concrete retarding concentrate used to produce exposed aggregate finish on freshly poured concrete.

Use Recommendations

SPRAYING ON: Use a garden sprayer to evenly apply the product onto freshly laid concrete. Apply Agrispose as soon the Bleeding has finished but before the concrete has set. Please note that the “bleed water” should be removed prior to applying Agrispose to prevent dilution of the product. Care must also be taken to protect the freshly treated surface from direct sunlight, warm winds or conditions that can cause the product to dry out.

REMOVING: Once the product has been applied, allow the concrete slab to partially cure for 2 to 12 hours (curing times vary greatly) and then broom and wash off top layer of concrete paste and Agrispose to expose the underlying aggregate. Care must be taken to ensure that Agrispose paste is removed within 2 -12 hours as the Agrispose will only retard the setting of the concrete for up to 24 hours and the concrete will set as normal to full strength otherwise.

Conseal – Natural Look Concrete Sealer

CONSEAL is a water based concrete sealer that is used to impart water resistance & surface protection properties to most porous building materials to maintain, enhance or preserve the materials original appearance & integrity.

Use Recommendations

CONSEAL may be used with confidence on most types of concrete, liquid limestone, clay bricks, reconstituted limestone, mortar, render, & grout. CONSEAL may also be used to build hydrophobic qualities into render, shotcrete, concrete blocks, artificial stones or other building components during manufacture at level of 0.6 to 6%. Note:CONSEAL concrete sealer is not suitable for sealing dense stone such as marble. Use as received. Apply to clean surface by spraying, rolling or painting. Allow to dry and 24 hours to react invisibly with surface. One coat is usually sufficient for most surfaces. COVERAGE: 1 litre of concrete sealer treats between 30 to 50m2 of surface depending on application method and porosity of surface treated. CONSEAL when admixed during manufacture of concrete or render should be used at level of 0.6% to 6% to impart water proofing to the concrete.

Easy Coat Sealer – Gloss Seal

EASY COAT SEALER is a ready-to-use clear and semi viscous acrylic polymer and solvent emulsion formulated to provide economical coverage whilst imparting a lasting protective seal to most hard and/or porous surfaces.

Use Recommendations

NOTE: This product is highly flammable and should be used & stored away from ALL sources of flame or ignition.

Typical coverage is between 12 to 20 m2 per litre. Prior to application of EASY COAT SEALER it is vital to thoroughly clean the surface using an approved Able Westchem detergent and allow overnight to dry. Also if previous coatings have been applied these must be removed using the appropriate Able Westchem stripper (AC800).

EASY COAT SEALER should only be applied to clean dry surface. For most applications two coats is normally sufficient leaving at least an hour between coats, however, some surfaces may require further coats to provide an impervious coating.

EASY COAT SEALER should normally be applied using a lambs wool applicator or roller, or good quality paintbrush. Spray applications are not recommended because of fire risk however this product is compatible with this method of application otherwise. EASY COAT SEALER is NOT suitable for use on vinyl, cork, linoleum or timber surfaces. EASY COAT SEALER should only be applied to surfaces with temperatures between 10-30 degrees Celsius with moisture content between 5 -15%. A moisture meter is recommended to indicate curing conditions. Airflow is required to aid the drying process however too much air flow can cause the coating to dry too quickly.

Gloss Seal

GLOSS SEAL is an all weather high solids acrylic polymer and solvent emulsion formulated to provide a long lasting and UV stabilised protective seals on most concrete, marine and sports court surfaces such as indoor basketball and netball courts.

Use Recommendations

NOTE: This product is highly flammable and should be used & stored away from ALL sources of flame or ignition.

Typical Concrete & Marine coverage is 5 m2 per litre per coat which translates to 1 x 20 litre bucket for every 50m2.

Prior to application of GLOSS SEAL it is recommended to thoroughly clean the surface using an approved Able Westchem detergent and allow overnight to dry.

GLOSS SEAL should only be applied to clean dry surface. For most applications two coats is normally sufficient leaving at least an hour between coats, however, some surfaces may require further coats to provide a higher gloss coating. GLOSS SEAL should normally be applied using a lambs wool applicator or roller, or good quality paintbrush. Spray applications are not recommended (unless used by a Professional) because of fire risk however this product is perfectly compatible with the spay method of application otherwise.

GLOSS SEAL should be stirred or shaken well before use and only be applied to surfaces with temperatures between 10 _ 30 degrees Celsius with moisture content between 0 -15%. A moisture meter is recommended to indicate curing conditions. Airflow is required to aid the drying process however too much air flow can cause the coating to dry too quickly.

Matt Sealer Acrylic

Solid Step – Vinyl Floor Sealer

SOLID STEP Floor Sealer & Polish is an opaque white coloured Vinyl floor sealer and polish that contains 30% actives. The formula incorporated is both non-harmful and non-flammable and will dramatically extend the life and appearance of most hard surfaces that can be polished.

Use Recommendations

SOLID STEP is normally used as received but can also be used be diluted with water for spray buffing with a high speed polishing machine and buffing pad.

Clean floor using either Apollo or Turbo (or any other neutral based detergent cleaner).
Apply SOLID STEP as received to a clean floor using mop or towel.
Allowing surface to dry.
Finish off by polishing with a high speed machine and appropriate polishing pad (by hand).

The product will leave a thin layer of protective polymer seal with a high and long lasting gloss.

Not generally suitable on wooden floor surfaces.

Spirit & Wax Liquid

SPIRIT & WAX is a mixture of natural and synthetic waxes that give a brilliant non-slip shine to timer floors. This product is ideal for jarrah, karri and Australian hardwoods. SPIRIT & WAX is also used to provide a corrosive protection on metals.

Application and coverage is dependant upon cleanliness and perocity of surface materials. Always pre-clean thoroughly, let dry and perform a test patch.

Stir contents very well and apply a thin coat using a microfibre or roller.

Expect to get between 10-12 sqm per litre depending on various conditions i.e. Porosity of surface, application method, wastage.

Requires >8 hours drying time, ensure area is well ventilated.
