Key Safety Reminders

NEVER mix chemicals – dangerous reactions can occur.

Ensure chemicals are safely and securely stored. Keep out of reach of children or untrained persons.

Ensure all bottles are labelled with product name and dilution.

Use only food-safe chemicals in areas where food is prepared or served.

Replace SDS sheets every 5 years and ensure staff know where to access them.

First Aid

For First Aid advice contact a Poisons Information Centre (Phone Australia 13 11 26) or a doctor at once.

SKIN If contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing & wash affected area thoroughly.

EYES Hold eyes open & flush with water for at least 15min. Get medical advice without delay.

INHALED If fumes inhaled, remove patient to fresh air, lay down, rest, keep warm. If patient is not breathing make sure airway is clear and apply artificial respiration. Oxygen may be given but only under supervision of a trained person.

INGESTED If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. Get medical advice immediate.
