Corrosion is a constant threat to any metal exposed to water, coolant or the elements. Left unchecked, it eats away at cooling systems, radiators, closed water loops and stored equipment, leading to leaks, downtime and expensive repairs. Westchem manufactures a range of corrosion inhibitors that protect metal surfaces and extend the working life of your plant and machinery.
Rather than cleaning up damage after it happens, an inhibitor works preventatively, forming a protective barrier that interrupts the electrochemical reaction behind rust and pitting. Our range covers engine coolants, radiator and closed loop treatments, water treatment inhibitors and passivation products for a wide spread of industrial and workshop applications.

For engine and cooling systems, AFAB 50 is a heavy duty coolant for diesel and petrol engines, while Aqua Guard Radiator Inhibitor protects radiators against scale and corrosion. Corrogard is a versatile inhibitor concentrate designed to be blended with glycol to produce high performance coolants for closed loop and cooling systems.
Aqua Guard Corrosion Inhibitor is a water miscible concentrate ideal for immersion tanks and general metal protection, and Ablefrost HD adds antifreeze protection for demanding environments. For stainless steel, Able Inox Gel passivates and restores weld affected and contaminated surfaces to their natural corrosion resistant state.
Most of our inhibitors are supplied as concentrates in 5 and 20 litre containers, with larger 200 and 1000 litre volumes available for high usage sites and water treatment programs. Buying concentrate keeps your cost per litre of treated fluid low and reduces the packaging you need to handle and store.
